A creation inspired by Kwaïdan, the collection of Japanese ghost stories by Patrick Lafcadio Hearn. These stories weave invisible bonds between dreams, life after death and real life.

Kwaïdan extends a performance of Onishi Dance / New Butoh® and contrabass initially prepared to be ephemeral. From the creative intensity of the two artists and the warm reception of the public came the desire to perpetuate this encounter between worlds—real and unreal, Orient and Occident, Onishi Dance / New Butoh® and prepared contrabass, woman and man.
